Visit of the Crypt of St Leonard Church in Kent – England (video)

St Leonard’s Church in Hythe (Kent) has the largest and  well-preserved collection of ancient human bones and skulls. It was a surprising visit.

1.200 skulls on shelves and a stack of 8.000 thigh-bones.

It seems those skulls came from the many generations of residents of Hythe who had been buried in the church since the 13th century.
