The St. Anthony, a Luxury Collection Hotel est clairement « The place to stay ».

Looking for a change of scenery and luxury? The St. Anthony in San Antonio
Disclaimer: I would like to make it clear that I was not paid, so my opinion is entirely objective.
If you are visiting San Antonio, Texas, you absolutely cannot miss the River Walk (also known as Paseo del Rio). This four-kilometre promenade winds through downtown San Antonio. You can stroll along the riverbanks in search of bars, shops and restaurants. The area always has a holiday atmosphere, no matter when you visit. By following the pedestrian paths along the canals, you can connect all the city’s monuments. It is so pleasant to walk there in the evening, when the temperature is bearable, unlike during the day when it can become very hot. You will quickly realise that you are not the only one to have had this idea, so remember to book your restaurant in advance.
Just a few blocks from the River Walk, a ten-minute walk from the canals and opposite Travis Park, you will find The St. Anthony, a Luxury Collection Hotel. This five-star hotel, located in the heart of the city, is close enough to enjoy the atmosphere yet far enough away not to be disturbed by late-night revellers. The property is a historic gem.
The St. Anthony, a Luxury Collection Hotel is clearly “the place to stay”. Many celebrities and politicians have stayed at this hotel, and important events in the city are often held here. The lobby is also nicknamed “Peacock Alley”, in reference to the colours of the beautiful bird.
For me, there were only positives: sparkling cleanliness, attentive staff, impeccable service and a very spacious room. After a quick check-in, it was off to the room. It was comfortable, ultra-modern and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was enormous.

But what really caught my attention was the swimming pool on the roof of the building. After a long day of shopping, there is nothing better than relaxing in a cabana and taking a dip in a magnificent pool.
A little further on, I discovered (and I actually don’t think I was supposed to be there) a completely deserted area used for the hotel’s private receptions. From there, you feel as though you are on top of the world, with a sweeping view over the city and a church below. I looooove it.
Another bonus: the hotel also accepts dogs. You should nevertheless expect to pay $40 for valet parking.
I am planning to go back in a few weeks, and I will tell you all about my new impressions.
