Polar bear cub dies in Berlin zoo

Newborn polar bear cub died the 6th of March in Berlin’s Tierpark zoo. The autopsy showed that the cub succumbed to a liver inflammation. His mother, Tonja, and the zookeepers mourn the little ball of fur.

Fritz was a beloved resident of the Tierpark zoo in the German capital. The general public melted for this little polar bear who waved at the crowd gathered outside his den back in November 2016. Fritz instantly enjoyed global fame with his fluffy looks and goofy behavior.

The zoo’s medical staff is still not sure what caused the liver inflammation. Examinations only showed alarming liver readings.
