When Boubah, real estate agent and zealous advocate of an equal and unprejudiced America, published a photo of a drag queen sitting next to a Muslim woman wearing a niqab, he never expected it to go viral.
New Yorker Boubah posted one week ago a picture of drag queen, Sam Thermer and his seatbuddy, a Muslim women in traditional clothing. The commuters were sitting side by side on the metro heading to Manhattan.
The photographer shared the picture on this Twitter and Instagram-account to celebrate the diversity. But some social media users jumped at the opportunity to turn the photo into discriminatory memes. It quickly became an object of ridicule and mockery.
What was intended to spread love and tolerance was put down by trolls.
